AMD Rolls Out Latest Quad-Core Opteron
As AMDs six-core Istanbul Opteron server processor gets the bulk of the publicity, AMD is rolling out additions to its line of quad-core chips. The latest is Suzuka, which addresses the issues of power consumption and cost more than scalability. Suzuka is targeted at such environments as cloud computing, Web servers, small business servers and workstations.
