Most browsers I've used always use Ctrl+F to find something on the page. Actually, many other applications use the same shortcut key for finding information within the open document.
I did a search and found a list of IE7 shortcut keys here: http://www.testingreflections.com/node/view/3466, but it shows the find command using Ctrl+F combination as well.
I don't know what else to suggest, sorry!
