Question on Adwords

Hi Steve (& others),
Long time, no talk. ;-)
Would like feedback from those who have used Adwords. I'm getting a sufficient number of visits, but no sales. I'm offering a new boardgame for kids and I don't know whether it's not what they're looking for, the price isn't right or ... ? The ad is pretty clear so I don't think there are any surprises. But I don't know.
I don't really want to keep paying for click-throughs without any sales. What do others do? How long do you leave the ad running before you say 'enough'?
