Useless, meaningless spam...

Hi Folks,
Many spam posts to this forum are filled with garbage links and viruses. It is suggested you don't read them or click on links from spam posts.
Often, I don't even see the reason for the spam. An example is one I received this morning to my yahoo email address. Here it is:
will become more compassionate through increased knowledge and of planes came aerial warfare and the real possibility that a computer technology has yet to offer the contemporary artist.

There wasn't even a link to click on... Do you suppose some people spam just because they can? Even if they don't have a reason, they spam anyways?
