Sometimes it is handy to be able to track someone's IP address. Especially for forum moderators when you're trying to decide if you need to block a whole IP range. There is an extension of the Chrome browser called IP - Geolocator which can show you exactly where the poster is coming from. Once you have made your decision you can often just paste the IP into a look-up service to get the whole range.
Quickly Geo-Locate IPv4 addresses using Google Maps and the Maxmind GeoLite City database. All IP addresses are resolved using a web service and then displayed using Google Maps with up to 99.5% accuracy on a country level and 79% on a city level. The web service will be updated monthly to ensure the latest version of the GeoLite data for the most accurate results.
