Cnet used to be a great place for finding and downloading software, but things have changed. Last year two things I downloaded from there came with viruses, and last month I downloaded something from there.... but got a little more then I expected.
I had to install a software installer program first, and then download the app I wanted using this program.
It installed the Babylon toolbar on Firefox and Internet Explorer, making my default searches go through their search engine, and my default homepage was hijacked too.
I had a heck of a time getting rid of this stuff. It's very persistent and very annoying. I won't be going through this again, and I won't be visiting Cnet any more.
