In Response To: Putting Scam questions to Rest!!! (Matt)

Hi Matt,

My discussion forum seems to be turning to scam related topics, programs and authors. The idea of this forum was to talk about building online businesses and websites. You have no idea how many personal emails I've received from people who claim to have been scammed by one company or another, and expect me to help them get their money back. Either that, or they want me to look into programs they want to join, and want to know if I think it is legit.

I spend my day building websites for people, and I don't have a lot of time nor interest in investigating everyone's claims. However there is a forum set up for the discussion of scams that I sometime participate in, at http://www.friendsinbusiness.com/board1/.

Program like the one you're promoting always send up red flags. It promises students they can earn $5,000-$10,000 per week. You know, $5,000 per month is earned either by highly qualified trades people or teacher and other white collar workers, so it is hard to believe you're going to let them in on the secrets of how to create this type of income in a small amount of time. But then when you look at the disclaimer of the site you have framed, it says:

All testimonies are a result of personal experience or were provided by each individual. They have NOT be verified for accuracy or truthfulness. No incomes are represented or guaranteed of any amount for any participant. Some people will earn no money at all in this program. All examples are for illustration purposes only. Where specific income figures are used and attributed to an individual or business, we have every reason to believe that those people have earned that amount of money, however, no statements of income have been verified.

And of course if you were making $20,000-$40,000 per month you wouldn't be posting on message forums looking for people to join your affiliate program. You would be taking in the rays at a secluded beach in the South Pacific, and you wouldn't have a care about what anyone was saying about scams.

Regards,
Steve MacLellan
